Panderers

Well, I just watched the trailer for the new Kiera Knightly version of Pride and Prejudice. I was mildly offended. First, let me just get out into the open that while I am not a KK lover, I am also not filled with the burning hate and loathing for her that I know some of you have. Be that as it may, I still think the movie comes from a bunch of panderers, catering to the public desire to see onscrean kissing. As you may know, more kissing involves huge departures from the novel we have all grown to love. However, as the A&E version cannot be topped in any aspect, but more specifically in the department of being true to the novel, the departures will be considerably more tollerable. However, why they even decided to make this movie when it has been done, and done well already, is beyond me.

In conclusion, I plan to see the film soon after it comes out with my free movie tickets.

I'll go with if I can have one of your free movie tickets. Now, I know what a huge sacrifice that is, so I guess I'll consent to go and pay if you'll let me have outbursts of rage throughout the movie. That's not to much to ask, right?

LUCKY, free movie tickets...what is this? Hey I'll go with you if you give me free movie tickets...but I will not pay for it. Not even for outbursts of rage. 50 cents is all I am willing to dish out. So, I guess I will pay for it, just not obscene amounts of money.

Well, I only have two free movie tickets. One is for me, and so you will have to fight over the other because, I'm thinking that outbursts of rage may be too much to ask. Hmm...but if I allowed it Nikki would pay her own way...

Maybe I'll just go see Corpse Bride with the ticket and wait and see the PP movie at a cheaper time. I don't think I can wait until November to use the tickets.

I'd rather just have a free movie ticket.

Sorry, that's just the first thing that popped into my head when I saw KKPP. Call me crazy.

KiKi and The Perilous Poop. Works either way.

Um, she has the same voice in every scene - it's like some constipated, "oh, i forgot my line so i am just going to hope you are looking at my body" look. I'm sorry if that sounded too mean, but it's true, no one can deny it. I think that seeing the movie could only be done on Tuesday, 50 cent night and only to do as Nikki mentioned and make comments of ridicule throughout - in other words, when there is no one else in the theatre to yell at me to be quite. Oh yeah, AND, the guy isn't attractive! not in the least, especially not in comparison to Colin Firth. I say, if you can't make the movie better than the previous version then don't even try. They obviously did not listen to this advise. Anyway, I am done ranting and raving.
